Announcing the Winners of our Stories for Schools Competition

We're thrilled to announce the winners of our Stories for Schools competition, run in partnership with the Scottish Book Trust. A huge thank you to all the schools, teachers, and parents who took the time to nominate. Your passion for literacy and storytelling truly inspired us.

The competition aimed to support literacy in classrooms across the UK by providing five schools with a Voxblock Mini School Pack, each worth £360. These packs include:

  • 5x Voxblock players with protective bumpers

  • 10x audiobooks of the school's choice

  • 1x charging bank

  • 1x aux cable

  • Additional school resources

We received an amazing 250 nominations, far more than we predicted, which made our decision even harder. Our panel, including representatives from Voxblock and the Scottish Book Trust, selected one winning school from each of the following regions: Scotland, North England, Midlands, South England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. There were so many fantastic stories about schools’ challenges and aspirations for literacy, it was hard to pick just 6, but…

…here are the winners:

  • Scotland: Stratherrick Primary School

  • North England: Mortimer Primary School

  • Midlands: Priestley Smith Specialist School

  • South England: St Michael’s CofE Primary School

  • Wales: Ysgol Sant Baruc

  • Northern Ireland: Dunclug Primary School

Congratulations to all the winning schools! Your commitment to fostering a love of reading and storytelling in your students is commendable. We look forward to seeing how the Voxblock Mini School Packs enhance your literacy initiatives.

For those who didn't win this time, thank you for participating. We hope to bring more initiatives for schools in the future.

Happy Listening!
