World Book Day 2026

Thursday 5th March

World Book Day feels more important than ever this year, especially as it falls within the Year of Reading. It’s a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the incredible books available and to encourage even more children to discover the joy of reading for pleasure.

That’s why we’re excited to be bringing back our Stories for Schools competition, giving five lucky schools the chance to win one of five mini school packs. And on 5th March, we’ll also be holding our annual Double Tokens Day.

Stories for Schools

Nominate your school

To celebrate World Book Day, we’re donating mini school packs to five schools across the UK and Northern Ireland. Each pack provides a brilliant new tool to support literacy, whether that’s in the classroom or as part of a listening station in your school library.

This is where you come in.

We’re inviting you to nominate your school, and the more nominations, the better. Rally together and help us see just how much your school values reading. We’d love to hear about your commitment to literacy, as well as any challenges you’re currently facing.

It’s simple to take part. Just complete the short form below, and start spreading the word!

A panel of Voxblock team members and industry peers (to be confirmed) will review the submissions and select the winners.

Deadline: 23:59 on 26th March

Who can apply: Everyone! Whether you’re a teacher, headteacher, or a parent, we’d love to hear from you.

Please take the time to read our terms & conditions, as we outline what the judges are looking for from your nominations.

Open to nominations for schools based in the UK and Northern Ireland.

Nominations open on the 5th March

What your school will receive:

1 of five mini school packs worth £410.

The packs include:

  • 5x Voxblock audiobooks with bumpers
