From New York Times bestselling author Cassandra Clare comes the first book in the Last Hours Trilogy.
In this addition to the Shadowhunters series, evil is hiding in plain sight and the only thing more dangerous than fighting demons is falling in love.
Cordelia Carstairs is a Shadowhunter, a warrior who has been trained since birth to fight demons. But when her father is accused of a horrific crime, Cordelia and her brother must travel to London in order to save their family from ruin.
Shortly after encountering her childhood friends James and Lucie Herondale, Cordelia must remain focused in this new world of glittering ballrooms, secret assignations and supernatural occurrences.
But Cordelia’s new life is blown apart when a shocking series of demon attacks devastate London. These monsters are nothing like those Shadowhunters have fought before and seem impossible to kill.
With London under quarantine, Cordelia and her friends discover that their own connection to a dark legacy has gifted them with incredible powers.
