An Interview with Willy Wonka

An Interview with Willy Wonka

With the launch of even more Roald Dahl, and Easter approaching. We thought we would invite someone who is renowned for his whimsical confectionery and enigmatic persona to the Voxblock HQ for a chat. Mr Willy Wonka is here, to discuss all things chocolate. You will probably know Willy Wonka for owning his own chocolate factory and making some out of this world sweet treats. But he usually keeps everything under wraps, so we are very lucky to have him here!

Voxblock: Thank you Mr Wonka for taking some time out of your busy schedule to talk to us today.

Willy Wonka: No, thank you! It is a pleasure to be here. You see I don’t leave my factory very often, I like to hide away in there as I don’t want people to find out about my chocolate secrets. But I also can’t say no to an opportunity to talk about chocolate.

Voxblock: Ah yes, your factory is famously secretive, with many people wanting a peek inside. What motivated you to keep it so mysterious?

Willy Wonka: Where’s the fun in revealing all of your secrets? I prefer to keep people guessing – it makes the chocolate taste all the sweeter when they finally get to experience it for themselves. Plus it also makes sure my chocolate is unique and like nothing they have ever tasted before.

Voxblock: Your Chocolate Factory is renowned for its innovation and creativity. Can you share any insights into your creative process?

Willy Wonka: Inspiration can strike at any moment – whether it’s while I’m experimenting with new flavours in the lab or simply daydreaming in my garden. But I find that the key to unlocking creativity lies in embracing curiosity and embracing the unexpected. After all, some of my most delightful creations have come from happy accidents!

Voxblock: But how do you find the time to create everything?

Willy Wonka: Ah! Well, that is because I have Oompa Loompas to help me. I saved them from Loompaland. Their lives were endangered by the Hornswogglers and Snozzwhangers. So I brought them home to my factory, they love chocolate as much as I do so they enjoy helping out.

Voxblock: We’ve heard a lot about the Oompa Loompas. Has there been any of your inventions that have been your personal favourites?

Willy Wonka: Yes, I have personally enjoyed my ever-lasting gobstopper. Everyone wanted to find out how I made that one. But also my Scrumdiddlyumptious Bar, is a good one, because it is well…scrumdiddlyumptious!

Voxblock: Lastly, have you got anything exciting coming up?

Willy Wonka: Well I have heard that here at Voxblock you have just released my story to buy about my golden tickets, you know that was the first time I opened my factory to the public. But anyway I hope people enjoy the story.

Voxblock: Thank you, Mr Willy Wonka for coming in to share your story and love for chocolate making.

You can now buy four new Roald Dahl classics from Voxblock including; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG and The Twits.
