World Book Day 2025
In celebration of World Book Day this year, we have activities planned not just for the day itself but throughout March.
We’re excited to bring back Double Tokens Day on 6th March, and we’re also launching Stories for Schools, a month-long initiative that you can get involved with (see below for details).
And that’s not all, we have some exciting new launches coming your way throughout March.
Stories for Schools
Nominate Your School
In partnership with the Scottish Book Trust
To celebrate World Book Day, we’re pledging mini school packs to five schools across five regions in the UK. These packs offer a fantastic new tool for literacy development, perfect for use in the classroom or for creating listening stations in your school library.
But we need your help! We’re looking for nominations, and we’d love to hear about your school’s commitment to literacy, both within the school and throughout the wider community.
We also want to hear from schools that are passionate about literacy but are facing challenges, whether it’s obstacles or a lack of funding, that make it difficult to grow their literacy initiatives.
It’s easy, just fill out the short application form below (it takes less than five minutes).
A panel of Voxblock team members and the Scottish Book Trust will review the submissions and select a winner for each region.
Regions: Scotland, North England, South England, Wales and Northern Ireland
Deadline: 28th March
Who can apply: Everyone! Whether you’re a teacher, headteacher, or a parent, we’d love to hear from you.

Fill Out Your Nomination
We are thrilled to have the Scottish Book Trust partnering with us for Stories for Schools!
The Scottish Book Trust is a national charity dedicated to changing lives through reading, writing, and books. One of their key messages is simple but powerful: all reading is good reading.
They are also the organisation behind the brilliant Authors Live events, where they have interviewed some of the amazing authors featured on the Voxblock bookshelf.
