About the Percy Jackson series

Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series began with The Lightning Thief in 2005. Percy is dyslexic, always in trouble at school, and about to discover that his father is Poseidon, god of the sea.

At Camp Half-Blood, a training ground for the children of the gods, Percy finds friends in Annabeth and Grover and a string of quests that take him across America and into the Sea of Monsters. Fast, funny and full of Greek mythology, it is a series that turns reluctant readers into fans.
